I want to show you all something
I’m very picky about my news sources. I read a lot of news, and I’ve been really careful about selecting where I get it. I just saw an article reblogged on my dash (content of the article is irrelevant to my point) from the Chicago Tribune and was like “Lol, who reads that”. But I went on their site anyway. You know. To see.
First, let me show what news looks like:
This is my dear Washington Post.
This is the New York Times, which basically gave us our definition of Class.
This is a French paper I like.
Stuff about Asia.
And this?
This is the Tribune.
Wait, sorry, can you see that? It’s a little difficult to find the news in all that fucking advertising. The background, by the way, is an ad. Like, there’s a separate background for the site—not just clean white space like every other fucking paper—and it is a motherfucking ad.
