I need a topic for my East Asian International Relations course!
And I know nothing about the area! If anyone has particular subjects that they find interesting pertaining to Asia and IR, I would love to hear them. No actual topics, obviously, I don’t want to use someone’s ideas directly, but if you happen to know of an interesting field… that would be cool.
Right now, I’m considering:
- China should step up and become a major power in the world order (and in Asia (East and West))
- China should enter into a G2 with the US
- Something about Japan’s economic relationship with China
- Something about China taking a harder line in re: NK’s nuclear weapons
