As the EU’s role shrinks in the world, Europeans have sought to help build a multilateral, rule-based world. That is why it is they, rather than the Chinese or the Americans, that have pushed for the creation of institutionalized global responses to climate change, genocide, or various trade disputes. To the extent that today’s world has not collapsed into the deadlocked chaos of a “G-zero,” it is often due to European efforts to create a functioning institutional order.

Now that’s an interesting thing to say…

I mean, it’s true, when you think about it.  And for all Europe’s problems, I can’t help but wish that America would follow the continent’s example one last time.

Hey everyone, so I made that multimodal project into a video for my final project.  It is almost fifteen minutes long, but I worked too hard on it to relegate it to the confines of the horrible class for which I made it, so I’m sharing it with y’all.

Haley had the idea that I make a travel comic out of my photography for my multimodal project in our comic class.

I decided to use my Europe pictures because I really want to do something with them other than look at them every few months sadly.  So I’m really excited by this project, and I will have to see if I can find my Paris pictures because evidently I lost them. :(

But I’ll probably post some, if not all (depending on how long it gets) on here once it’s done.

this was when we (corinne and i) figured out that if you rearranged toblerone pyramids, you could spell noob.

super sappy moment time.  yes. : i met my best friend in switzerland.  we had suite-style rooms, and happened to be thrown in together with two other people, one of whom was corinne.  she’s… actually pretty indescribable. in the best way possible.  i’m going to see her next week, all week, on block island.  it’s going to be so fucking amazing, and i am going to spam the fuck out of all of your dashes with my pictures of the banana boats, forts, and lantern launching that will go down.
