Case Study House #9 was designed by Charles Eames and Eero Saarinen for “Art and Architecture” magazine publisher,  John Entenza.

John Entenza was to modernism what Anna Wintour is to fashion. Editor of Arts & Architecture magazine from 1940 until 1962, he was the first to publish and popularize the works of now-legendary designers such as Harry Bertoia, the Eameses, Craig Ellwood, and George Nakashima. Hewrs”s best known for launching the Case Study House program in 1945.
